Richard Quinney, the publisher at Borderland Books, invited me to create artwork for the cover and chapter heads of Glenway Wescott's book GOODBYE, WISCONSIN. Borderland re-published the book. Madison designer Ken Crocker designed the book. It had been out of print since the mid 1960s. It is a collection of 11 short stories that focus one way or another on Wisconsin and the midwest. I was surprised to find that these stories, all written by Wescott in the 1920s, are a bit on the dark side.
This book is mentioned in The New York Review of Books, February 12, 2009.
